If you'll be transferring college credit to WSU Tri-Cities, here are the admission requirements and application steps you need to follow.
1. Fill out the application (and do it early!)
Admission to WSU is offered to qualified students on a first-come, first-served basis.

- Scholarship application
2. Write your personal statement.
It's not mandatory, but a good personal statement could increase your chance of admission. Additionally, the statement is required for the scholarship application, which we encourage you to complete anyway.
You can submit the personal statement along with your admission application or do it separately at www.wsu.edu/statement.
3. Request transcripts from all colleges you have attended.
If you have less than a full year of college credit to transfer, we may ask you to also have your high school transcript (or GED) and test scores (SAT or ACT) sent to WSU.

When we receive your application, the application fee (or waiver request), and official transcripts from the college(s) you've attended, the Office of Admissions will determine the total number of transferable college credits, your cumulative GPA in the transferable work, and which general education requirements you've completed. Courses that are applicable to your major will be evaluated by the department you're planning to major in.
If you have less than a full year of college-level academic work, we may also request your high school transcript (or GED) and SAT/ACT scores for admission consideration.
We will notify you of the admission decision by letter.
Check out the writing portfolio requirement. If you keep the college papers you've already written, you may be able to use them for the WSU writing portfolio.
Check out the requirements for your major and contact the department. Ask them what they think an incoming transfer student should know. Some programs have specific requirements that you'll want to be aware of. Knowing them beforehand will help prevent unpleasant surprises.
Visit campus if you haven't already. You can schedule your own visit or sign up for an organized visit.
If you've been offered admission, pay the advance tuition deposit by May 1 to hold your place at WSU.
