Mechanical Engineering candidate, 10:45 a.m., West 256

You are invited to the presentation by a candidate for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at WSU Tri-Cities.

Dr. Udaya Kumar Sajja, currently a Software Development Engineer with Altair Engineering Inc. in Austin, Texas, will give a teaching demonstration on "Introduction to Finite Element Method."

The session is from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, in West 256. The presentation will be available by AMS in WSU Pullman in EME B 46.

About Dr. Sajja

Dr. Sajja earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 2011 from Mississippi State University with a dissertation on "Modeling of Transport Phenomena and Macrosegregation during Directional Solidification of Alloys" (related to gas turbine blades). His master's degree in engineering is from Andhra University in Visakhapatnam, India, with a thesis on "Computer Aided Design of Compact Plate Fin Heat Exchangers."

Dr. Sajja has worked at Altair Engineering since May 2011. From 2001-2007, he served as assistant professor of mechanical engineering in the G.V.P. College of Engineering in India.
