Student Jobs

Federal and State work-study is awarded to eligible students based on FAFSA information. Students are eligible to work even if they do not receive a work-study award or chose not to apply for need-based federal financial aid. Student employment on and off-campus is a great way to learn critical thinking and job ready skills that will earn the respect of future employers. For more information about work-study, check the FAQs! Students can earn the maximum amount of their work-study award per semester. Typically, students work 10 to 15 hours per week and are paid by check on a bi-monthly schedule.

Student employment includes work-study, temporary, part-time, and summer positions. Job announcements are posted on the bulletin board outside Career Services, Room 269, West Building.  Additional job announcements may be found in the Career Services resources area.

Work-Study Positions -- Campus jobs for which departments want to hire students who have work study as part of their financial aid.  Students who receive work-study as part of their financial aid award must work in a job to earn money equal to their work-study award.  The work-study program subsidizes the student's salary so that the cost to departments is less.  Some departments require students with work-study.  Some departments hire with or without it.  Students may wish to explore a variety of work-study options. See the staff in the Career Center, Room West 269. Click here for more information.

On-Campus Jobs -- Campus departments require a job application which can be found in Career Services, Room 269 West or Student Resources, Room 263 West Bldg.  For additional information regarding Student Employment on campus call Anna Mitson, Career Services Manager at 372-7297 or
