The primary purpose of our Scholarship Fund is to provide scholarships for students associated with the potato industry and who reside in Washington or Oregon. Scholars must intend to pursue a two/four year degree or technical certification at a facility of higher education of the student's choosing. Preference will be given to those who are pursuing an agriculture-related education.
Application deadline: February 15th of each year.
- US Citizen
- Washington Resident
- Entering third or four year
- Attending an accredited 4 year institution in the State of Washington as a full time student for the full academic year
- Maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher
Accepts applications Nov. 1 - March 31 of each school year. Please Note: An interview with the Director is held when you pick up the application. Applicants will be notified regarding their acceptance by the first of June. Interested students should contact the Director of the Scottish Rite Scholarship Foundation in the area of his/her home address for further information and application. If you are attending a college some distance from your home area (such as attending school in Seattle, home area is Spokane), you may contact a Director in the area closest to your school. DOLLAR AMOUNTS OF AWARDS VARY FROM YEAR TO YEAR. THEY MAY BE MORE ONE YEAR AND LESS THE NEXT. THERE IS NO SET OR GUARANTEED AMOUNT AWARDED.
The Scottish Rite Scholarship Foundation of Washington reserves the right to disqualify applicant(s) from any scholarship consideration, and the award of every scholarship is at the sole discretion of the Scottish Rite Scholarship Foundation of Washington. If in the opinion of the Scottish Rite Scholarship Foundation of Washington, the applicant(s) fails to complete the application, such application will be automatically disqualified for any scholarship consideration.
