  • Make sure you have submitted all transcripts and double check that we’ve received them.
  • Don’t assume a course transferred just because you took it – WSU is picky about what courses transfer!

Graduating:

  • Meet with your advisor once per semester to make sure you’re on the right track for graduation.
    • Know and understand the requirements for your degree and graduation.
    • Complete the requirements for your major.
    • Make sure you have at least 40 hours of upper division credit.
    • Complete at least 120 credits total
  • Ask your advisor questions regarding requirements, etc.
  • Familiarize yourself with your degree audit and check it regularly.
  • Individual requirements turn black when complete, and stay red when incomplete.
  • Apply to graduate when you have reached 75 credits.
  • Attend class, work hard on your class work and exams, and talk to the professor when things are confusing or overwhelming!
    • Failing or taking an incomplete will only cause you to fall behind.
  • To shorten your time to graduation take more classes per semester and/or summer school.

Your Advisor:

  • Does: help you to understand the requirements and helps you devise a plan of study.
  • Doesn’t: tell you what to do.  She only makes suggestions.

In the end you are responsible for completing the requirements according to WSU policies so that you graduate.
