Brad Liebrecht

What is your hometown?
I was born and raised in Yakima, Washington, and graduated from West Valley High School.

What is your degree in?
I graduated from Washington State University Pullman (GO COUGS!) in 2007 with a B.A. in History and a B.A. in Social Studies. I am currently a graduate student in the Educational Leadership program at WSU Tri-Cities.

What is your favorite Tri-Cities restaurant?
My favorite place to eat in Richland is Bento Teriyaki. The specials are amazing and quite reasonable.

What is your favorite book?
This is tough, but if I have to choose just one it would be Founding Brothers by Joseph Ellis. His analysis of Revolutionary America is brilliant, yet simple enough for everyone to understand. I highly recommend the book to anyone who likes American history.

What is your favorite movie?
I don’t really have a favorite movie, but I like all the superhero movies that have been coming out in the last few years. I was a comic book fan when I was a kid and it is exciting to see all my favorites on the big screen.

What is your favorite thing about WSU Tri-Cities?
I love the personal atmosphere here at WSU Tri-Cities. Everyone is focused and dedicated to student success.

What advice do you have for future WSU Tri-Cities students?
As a fellow Cougar, I encourage all students to look around and take advantage of the many opportunities that WSU Tri-Cities has to offer. Make sure that you enjoy your college years and get the most out of them!

What I recommend to do while visiting the Tri-Cities:
Go exploring! I have lived in Eastern Washington nearly my entire life and I am still learning new things about the Tri-Cities and surrounding communities.

People would be surprised to know that:
I can read Latin. Not perfectly, but I can usually understand what I am reading.
